Patience, Miss-Mela herself, is the HEIC and Owner of Melaskiin Studio. She is a local raised first generation Liberian-American who has deepened her love and expertise in the skin industry and is driven to break barriers for black estheticians in Maine. Her unique and extensive techniques, attention to detail, and personal spiciness are all key components to the Melaskiin Experience that she strives to create for every person who enters her treatment room.

Growing up in Maine Patience found difficulty finding spaces that openly welcomed and catered to deeper skin tones like her own- So instead of accepting defeat she decided to build the very space in this community that was lacking. In 2021 she obtained her Esthetics License at S.T Institute and quickly joined the field working for both corporate and small businesses. After two years of perfecting, expanding, and polishing her skillset she finally made the decision to open Melaskiin, a Private Skin-Care Studio with a direct focus on melinated skin and corrective services.

If I’m not behind the table, you can catch me watching Real Housewives, watering my plant babies, or eating crab legs at the nearest seafood restaurant.” - P

Patience is continuing to build and grow her business every single day- and it’s only the beginning. Here at Melaskiin Studio the goal is to give each client a customized, corrective, and comfortable experience, all while staying result driven towards your personal skin concerns and goals.
